why "pick a niche" is vile advice

"Pick a niche," they said.

"There will be riches," they said.

They were wrong.

Here's why. And why that matters:

11 years ago, I tried my young ghostwriter's hand at all the niches.

If I just find "the one," I'm gonna make it!

Wrong.

Young Joshua believed he had to pick one demographic niche, meaning an industry, type of business, even age of business owner, founder, or entrepreneur.

Awful advice.

Yet it's what we're all taught to do.

"The riches are in the niches."

Well . . . no.

And yes.

Um, what?

Exactly.

Today, I co-hosted a Twitter Space in which we talked about how to pick a psychographic niche.

  • Psychographics = vision, hopes, dreams, pains, fears, and needs

What's a psychographic niche, why do you need one, and how do you choose?

Listen to the 38-minute Twitter Space below.

Our friend George Silverman made a life-changing observation at the end, so make sure you listen to the entire recording.

Let's go! πŸ‘‡
